The T Family

This post is a continuation of Baby C’s entry…in addition to his newborn pictures, we also took these family photos.

Taking pictures around a family farm is so much fun – there are so many interesting things to work with, see, hear stories about, etc…I thoroughly enjoyed the time I had with this family.

Everyone was super patient as we switched between doing a few family photos and then a few newborn pictures, rotating back and forth according to how things were flowing!  I sure appreciated the flexibility demonstrated by all there.

Thanks, again, for asking me to take your pictures, T family!

I loved this Mustang they were trying to feed.  Beautiful!

This little girl’s expressions are adorable and the things she would say and do were so cute!  It was so much to take pictures of her!

Baby C – Destined to be a Cowboy

When C’s Mom contacted me about taking his newborn pictures I was super excited!  She had some wonderful ideas and I looked forward to seeing how we could bring her ideas to fruition!  A BIG key was the weather…a newborn outside?  You need warm weather, especially if you are going to do anything without clothes!  Although our day ended up being breezy, it was warm and for that we were all super thankful.

The location chosen for this session was the family farm…I was in heaven!  A newborn AND so much to work with around the farm – ahhhh!  In addition to taking C’s newborn pictures, extended family photos were also desired.  It was a lot to work into our time together but we made it happen!  Although I will do a separate post for the family pictures, you will see some of them with little C in this set.  Isn’t it wonderful that he has entered this world surrounded by people who love him and want to be a part of his life?  What a blessed little boy!

His little boots are so cute!!!!

These were taken with a family football – love the sentimental value of such things!  🙂

This picture makes me laugh and think it is how C felt about taking the pictures you are about to see:

He did not care for going without his clothes!  It took some creativity and working quickly to capture the shots with the saddle!  (but doesn’t he look so cute laying there?!?)

We were able to snag one more shot before he was completely done with not wearing clothes…but just “barely”.

Here are some pictures of C with his family.  There is something sweet about seeing C with his older sister…what great friends they are going to be as they grow up together!

C was such a trooper through all we asked of him – he was amazing actually!  I am so honored his parent’s wanted me to take his pictures!

I look forward to posting the additional family aspect of this session soon.  🙂

Sweet Kiddos in Sunfowers

I am rather behind right now in blogging but hope to remedy that over the next few weeks.  So, if you have been checking this site and have not seen much activity, expect that to change as I add several new blog entries each week.  I am super excited to finally have time to share more of what was captured this past Fall into Winter!  So many wonderful pictures of individuals I had the privilege of working with!  Each new set of pictures bring back many fond memories made with others during their sessions!  So, despite the fact there is snow on the ground outside today, I get to look at these sunny pictures from a warmer day filled with bright and happy yellow!  🙂

We all have our thing…something we really like, are drawn to and enjoy.  D, loves sunflowers and has always wanted some pictures of her kids amid the cheerful flowers.  After visiting about what she envisioned, I checked into a few options and kindly received permission from the farmer of this field to take some pictures with the crop he had growing.  It was the perfect spot, kinda remote but easy to access.  We worked quickly and caught quite a bit before we lost light.  I am thankful to say this Mama was very pleased with her pictures…but then who wouldn’t be with such adorable kids?  🙂

I was also asked if I would be able to play a little with the images and create what you see below…out of the ordinary for me, but I enjoyed working on them!  🙂

A view of the setting sun as I headed home after the session…

Welcome 2013 – Happy New Year

I almost find it hard to believe that this year has come to a close and we have now entered another year!  Wow!  So many amazing things to look back upon and thank God for from 2012…I am sure I will be able to say the same thing through 2013 – He is faithful in and through all things!

In our area, we have ushered in the New Year with snowfall!  It has steadily blanketed the area with lovely layers of white!  While out playing in the soft, white powder, our daughter said, ‘Mom!  Look at the evergreens!  Don’t they look beautiful with the snow all over them?!  We need to get a picture of them!” and that is what we proceeded to do.  She was right, they are so pretty covered with snow!

Happy New Year – 2013

Sweet Baby J

A baby…so small, so snugly, so smooth, so innocent…I simply love it when I get to work with a new, little one!

Believe it or not, I had the privilege of taking pictures for this couple when they became engaged and am honored that they also wanted me to capture pictures of their new daughter!  It is so much fun to document the changes and growth of friends and family in this way!  Sweet baby J was a dream to work with and her parents were amazing as we worked indoors as well as outside!  I loved watching Mom and Dad interact with and love on their daughter – she is one blessed little girl to have them as parents!

This family enjoys the outdoors a great deal…I loved being able to use a some camo with this little lady!

(We kinda like camo in our family too! 🙂 )

Sometimes, when a picture like this is caught, I can’t help but wonder if it is a subtle signal saying, “Enough already…can’t we be done with taking pictures now?”  🙂

J and T, thank you for letting me hang out with you all for a while and take pictures of your adorable, little girl!  I loved every minute!  🙂
