A Little Bit of Scenery…

It has been a while since I have taken the time to post some pictures of random beauty and uniqueness.  Although I do not have time to tell the story or thought behind all the photos taken I did include some details on a few toward the end.  🙂

 Have a great day, Everyone!

My husband was kindly teasing me not too long ago about how many sunSET pictures I take but how he rarely ever sees a sunRISE photo.  He was implying I am never up early enough to see the sunrise.  HaHa!  He knows that is NOT true, but it did challenge me to go outside and catch the beauty of a sunrise.  The challenge comes from the fact that we have trees blocking our view to the East and I have get creative when trying to capture the sunrise (easily and quickly) from our house!  Here is what I grabbed the camera for just the other day:

I just love that blue sky and those white clouds!

The photo below reminds me of how God owns the cattle on a thousand hills…

“For every beast of the forest is Mine, and the cattle up a thousand hills.”  Psalm 50:10

May each of us find comfort in Him (God) who holds all within his care!

Rain?

As you will see from the pictures below, we live in one of the many locations that need rain!  The crops have not done well this year due to the lack of moisture.

When we saw these amazing clouds roll in the other day we had high hopes of a substantial amount of rain falling in our area!!!

Knowing the clouds would add so much to this sunset I ran out and snapped a few pictures – beautiful!

(Aside from adding the watermark, these sunset shots are straight out of the camera!)

Well, unfortunately, I did not have to run home after taking these pictures do to torrents of rain falling from the sky.  🙁

Where we live only had a slight amount of rainfall through the night – some is better than none!  For those who received several inches…we are envious but happy for you.  🙂

The Rodeo

It is that time of year again.  Gotta love a good, hometown rodeo!  Our kids were super excited about all the rodeo had to offer this year and anticipated attending  from the moment they awoke the day of the big event.  We had a wonderful evening and I enjoyed the additional challenge of working with my camera in low light – made me thankful there is such a thing as high ISO!  🙂  Here are some of the pictures that that day!

Slices of my Life

Since I usually have my camera nearby I can usually stop and take a photo of that which catches my eye.  So many unique and lovely things surround us…I am thankful for eyes with which I can see and for a camera that can record that which was seen!  🙂  Below are slices of my life: things I pass coming and going and things I notice while doing the “next thing”.  I look forward to posting soon about the Alpaca Arrival I mentioned a while back…stay tuned!

A Little Bit of Life…

This past weekend was Easter and we had a wonderful time celebrating!  I hope the same is true for you!  While Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection were our focus, we also enjoyed hunting eggs with our kids!  What fun!

I also have a stash of pictures from various things that I wanted to share!

In our area, there have been a lot of pastures being burned.  While I know there are many positive reasons for doing this, I simply think they are cool to see, especially at night!  The timing and location finally worked out and I was able to capture these – a few during the day and a few at night!

Then there was the morning we awoke to a thick fog…so pretty, so quiet, so eerie.

The following days were rather wet and dreary but there was beauty in that too!

We missed the sun and were thankful when it finally reappeared!

The mix of clouds and sun made for a lovely close to this specific day, even providing a wonderful rainbow!

The following images are just from here and there as we have enjoyed living life!
