Wheat…harvest

Our family sure enjoys watching the wheat ripen around us!  We always stop a moment when the wind is blowing and watch the wave effect taking place among the golden shoots and heads – so pretty!  We also stay on the look out for combines coming through to harvest the wheat and are thankful for the kind friends who often let us hitch a ride!  I also enjoy seeing the wheat stubble baled and the different colored tracks left behind by the large equipment that accomplished the task!  So, with the descriptions given, here is a glimpse of each phase we were able to observe!

Beyond The Sunset

I was at a Memorial Service yesterday for a sweet friend and heard this song for the first time!

Beyond The Sunset
Beyond the sunset, O blissful morning.  When with our Saviour heaven’s begun.
Earth’s toiling ended, O glorious dawning.  Beyond the sunset when day is done.
Beyond the sunset, no clouds will gather, no storms will threaten, no fears annoy.
O day of gladness, O day unending.  Beyond the sunset eternal joy.
Beyond the sunset, a hand will guide me. To God the Father whom I adore.
His glorious presence, His words of welcome, will be my portion on that fair shore.
Beyond the sunset, O glad reunion, with our dear loved ones who’ve gone before.
In that fair homeland we’ll know no parting.  Beyond the sunset forevermore.
Words by Virgil P. Brock Back

Apparently, I missed being exposed to this wonderful hymn while growing up.  Yet, I love the words and I especially like the very end!  I do believe I will be reminded of this song often as I absorb the beauty of the setting sun and the way it highlights everything around it!  I “just so happen” to have a few sunset pictures to add with this post!  May they remind you of the hope we have of seeing loved ones who knew Christ as their Savior again in Heaven one day! undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefined

Rodeo Days

I love the rodeo!  We look forward to going as a family every year!  As usual, we had a great time!  We were able to spend time visiting with friends, watch the kids play and enjoy all that was taking place, and my husband kindly watched kids while I walked around and took pictures of things that stood out to me.  As you will be able to tell by the numerous flag photos, I love how Patriotic rodeos usually are…very refreshing!  if you get the chance to attend a rodeo in your area, I highly recommend it!  🙂undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefined
