Challenged By A Daisy

Over the past few days I have watched the daisy flowers (and the buds yet to bloom) in one of our flower beds do something I have found very interesting.  I have noticed that as the sun has risen the little blooms would all be facing toward the East.  Then, as the sun would set the flowers would all be facing toward the West.  I found that to be so neat that I tried to capture it on “film”.  I chose to focus on just one flower so the direction it was facing would be completely obvious with each picture.  I am challenged by the natural way this flower bends toward the sun!  May I be drawn to Jesus, the Light of the World and the Son of God, the way this flower is drawn to it’s natural light source for life – the sun!  undefinedundefined

Flowers/Weeds

As I look around our “yard” I have come to think of it as “Dandelion Heaven”.  The heaven part is for their sake, definitely not ours!  Of course, as any kid would, our children enjoy picking the pretty yellow weeds, I mean flowers, and blowing the puffs that rise above all the other green growing out there!  Therefore, ensuring that the dandelions will continue to enjoy growing around our place!  Thankfully, these are NOT the only color around here.  We have numerous perennials that have been planted around our place but these lovely purple flower (yes, I know, they are weeds too) are abundantly growing in a nearby corral.  I love looking at them each time we drive by.  Don’t you just want to go lay in them?!?  The last set of true flowers were given to me by my thoughtful husband.  They smelled awesome, lasted quite a while, and touched my heart. undefinedundefinedundefinedundefined

Happy Easter!

I will start off with the fun!! I sure hope each of you have had a great time with your kiddos and extended family as you celebrated Easter this weekend.undefinedYet, there is also the sobering aspect of Christ’s death and burial.  Whenever I see these locust trees I am reminded of the crown of thorns He endured for you and me, along with SO MUCH more!  I guess that is one good thing that comes from having them around the farm.  Each time I see them it keeps me humble before the Lord and filled with gratitude for all He willingly (isn’t that amazing?!?) did for us!  WOW!undefinedHow glad I am that He did NOT stay in that tomb!  For as we celebrate today, He rose from the dead and LIVES!   What an amazing miracle!undefinedHave a wonderful day reflecting upon all He has done and all He makes available to us!
