The H Family

It has been super neat to be a small part of this family’s life and to watch events unfold for them over time! All three of them have a special place in my heart and I am honored that they wanted me to take pictures of them as a family, documenting this special time in their lives!  Isn’t their daughter the cutest?!  What a sweetheart she is!  We connected and worked our way around a small town and the countryside, capturing some fun and sweet memories!

All my best to each one of you!  🙂

The F Family

Going through all the images from this family’s session in preparation for this blog post, I found myself smiling and thinking about all the fun we had together!  What a great crew!  Let me tell you a little about my time with them!  🙂

As a family grows and spreads out it become harder and harder to find a time when everyone can be together.  That has been true for this family as well.  Yet, since they were going to all be together for a special event they decided to make time for family pictures – it had been a while, like double digit years since a family photo had been taken.  I think we made up for some lost time with the many clicks of my camera.

We started in a small town, rotating to a few spots I have wanted to take pictures for a while!

Although we had a second location lined up, the F family asked it we could wing it and go out to their home place…I was SO GLAD they asked!  Although I did not get to do a preview that site, the overcast day gave us great freedom to take pictures where we desired: around the house, with a family sign, in the ripening wheat, and with some farm equipment.  In fact, toward the end of our time together, it started sprinkling…the weather held just long enough for us to wrap up their session!

This little guy REALLY loves riding in the combine with his Grandpa – he did NOT want to get down (as you can see in the following picture)!

Be sure to check out the individual, couple and kiddo pictures taken during this session in the following posts or within those categories.

F Family, thanks for asking me to take pictures of you all while you were together!!  I hope you had as much fun as I did.  🙂

The M Family

As I prepared the pictures for this post I was reminded of something…I get to meet some of the most wonderful people through this “on-the-side” job of photography!

The M family was no exception!  I simply LOVED getting to meet them and feel like I grew to know them a little throughout our time together!  Every life is unique and special…hearing of the journey that brought them to our area was encouraging and hanging out with them during their session was so much fun!  Just in case you cannot tell by looking at their pictures, they just adore their son!  I think their interaction with him captured through pictures is priceless!  What a happy, little guy he was throughout the whole session!

All of these pictures were taken around their farm…it had so much to work with!  I loved how they wanted their tractor in some of the pictures…it has been in the family for quite a few years!

We also took some pictures of this handsome, happy little guy in honor of his first birthday!  The truck you see is one A hopes to work on with his son one day…

A beautiful lady who doesn’t mind helping out around the farm – you go, P!

He is going to be a great helper one day!  🙂

BTW, I learned some great info about protective chaps that can be worn when using a chainsaw…I plan to look into some for our family!  🙂

They had the perfect spot for a sunset picture with their tractor and implement!

Thank you, M Family, for asking me to take pictures for you!  I loved every minute!

The H Family

When the day of this family’s session rolled around the weather was chilly and overcast with occasional sprinkles.  Since every family’s weather tolerance is different I definitely checked in with them to see what they preferred to do.  As you can image, it takes a lot of effort to prepare when planning to have your pictures taken: nailing down the date, choosing your outfits, kids napping and eating so they are happy when it is time to be in front of the camera, and so much more!  Despite the weather, the H Family decided it would be easier to move forward with our plans instead of postponing and rescheduling and I was completely game!!!  We ended up having a great time and, while overcast, the weather held and no one experienced frost bite.  In fact, the sun came out at the very end of our time together, enabling us to get some fun silhouette shots!  As a treat after their session this family even went out for ice cream – yum!  🙂

These pictures were taken on property owned by the family…I loved their locations – there was so much to work with!  In addition to how cute these two little girls are, I thought their outfits were super fun!  Don’t you just love the vibrant colors?  🙂  In fact, there were so many adorable pictures of these two cuties I decided to list their pictures under “kiddos”.  The adults by themselves can be found under “couples” – be sure to check them out too.

H Family, I had a wonderful time with you!  Thank you for asking me to take your pictures!
