J – Halfway to 1

I was super excited to hear of this young one’s safe arrival into our world after taking his parent’s maternity pictures.  Although he may have had a challenging start, he is doing so well!  It was such a joy to finally meet him, hold him, interact with him, and get a glimpse of the love that surrounds him.  J’s parents simply adore him…he is so blessed to have them in his life!  Here are some picture taken in honor of making it halfway through his first year – he may have the serious look mastered but he also broke out his smile a few times!  🙂

When we were talking through ideas for J’s session, his mom mentioned bringing along some stuffed pigs which had meaning to their family!  We just so happen to have access to an old hog barn…perfect little set up just for J!  🙂

From Carhartt to Camo – my kind of little guy!  🙂

And at his mom’s request, we pulled out some suitcases and staged this little set up…I love the sign they brought with them to add to the mix – absolutely perfect and true!

Thank you, C and L, for entrusting me with your memoires!

C (7months) and His Family

It sure was nice to meet C and his family!  We connected to take pictures in honor of the midway point in C’s first year!  We caught some sweet pictures to document this fun and cute stage of life, along with some family pictures too!  🙂  C’s big brother sure is a neat guy…I bet the two of them are going to grow up and be best buds!  Thanks, C Family, for asking me to take pictures for you – I loved every minute!

Sweet memories for this family of this time in their lives!

Beautiful B – 10 days new!

As I have said before, after taking the L Family’s maternity pictures I was super excited about meeting their little one!  I was thrilled to hear of B’s safe arrival and looked forward to holding her after we set a date for her newborn photos.  The day for her session came and I was honored to get to put a face with B’s name…soaking in all her newborn-ness was amazing!  (Babies are so mesmerizing…I could watch them and their varied expressions for a LONG time!)

B was such a trooper!  We changed her clothes often and moved her here and there and she hardly fussed at all!  She gave us some amazing pictures with her eyes open but also snoozed soundly every once in a while!

(I have to add that my Sister In Law gave me the background used in the following pictures – who knew little B would come with an outfit to match?!!!  Perfect, M!  Thank you!!!)

These pictures were taken in honor of B’s Dad’s love for the NE Huskers and involvement with a volunteer fire department!

I also love how B’s Mom brought the same crown used in their maternity session to use in her newborn session – such a little princess!

From 2-3…love runs deep!

E and T, I have thoroughly enjoyed spending time with you two!  It has also been a privilege to have a small part in your journey toward parenthood…thanks for extending the opportunity for me to do so through photography!  God’s continued blessings to all three of you!  🙂

Cowboy C – 6 months old!

It is super sweet to take pictures of kiddos as they grow!  Since I do not see Cowboy C on a regular basis, going from newborn photos to 6 month photos made me think, “Where has the time gone!?!”  Yet, here he is in all his 6 month old cuteness!

As his Mom and I planned his session, we landed on taking pictures in their home.  The goal was to use the light from the large windows in their living room for some pictures (so glad they did not mind moving furniture around!) and then to capture some pictures of C’s in his nursery – love the rustic, cowboy theme!!!

We wrapped up this session outdoors – I couldn’t resist taking another picture of him with a saddle!

T Family, thanks for asking me to lock in how cute your son is at this stage of life!  Enjoy each moment!

I loved that C’s sister hopped in front of the camera too – complete with her own props.  🙂

This little guy talked to us and watched our antics while we were outside…he deserved some attention too!
